When speaking about vaporizers we always sort them into categories or subcategories. On the first hand, we all know there are portable and desktop vaporizers. And yes, we can also separate them by many features. Like for an example: with OLED Display – or without, stepless temperature setting – or some temperature levels. Whether is it for herbs, oils, wax, or hybrid. Depending on your first-class needs, you need to pick a vaporizer that fits your lifestyle the most.

But most of the users don’t consider the very important feature when picking a new vaporizer – this is the heating technology.

Heating technology plays a strong part when we are talking about the quality of vaporizers. Not every so-called vaporizer uses a technology that defines evaporation. And not every evaporation method is completely safe, as vaping should be.

We sort heating technology of vaporizers into 3 main groups: Combustion, conduction, and convection.

Combustion uses a hot coil to heat up (or burn) the material that is directly in touch of the heating element.

Conduction is a safer method that also comes directly in touch with a heating element, but heats up onto the desired temperature level and actually produces vapor.

And finally here is convection, which is the most efficient and the best method used in vaporizers. This technique uses a heating element below the herb chamber and utilizes heated air through the herb chamber and herbs – evaporates them equally. This is where the true vapor is produced.

COMBUSTION

Not so long ago, the technology didn’t allow us to create a vaporizer with a more efficient core. Instead of nowadays technology advances, those vaporizers use a chamber made with a coil (or filament) that heats up and burns the content. It reaches the temperature much above 230°C, which is not in favor of your herbs. This technique is similar to smoking herbs rolled in papers, using a lighter. This is where herbs are in touch directly with a heating element – and consequently burned, and the side product is made – smog…that is why evaporation isn’t a formation of this event. Although producers of that kind of devices claim these products as vaporizers – this is not a true definition of vaporizing.

Those kind of vaporizers are easy to make, are very affordable. But are low-life-time products with bad battery capacity. The coil gets ruined after one session and the taste is bitter.

This surely isn’t any kind of good addition to your health.

CONDUCTION

After some time, and more and more common use of vaporizers – conduction is being introduced – which is still the most commonly used technique. As up for that time, those were labeled as premium vaporizers which heat up the whole chamber. Usually used materials are ceramic, stainless steel, metal, and quartz glass. The cup-shaped chamber heats up to a desired level and evaporites the herbs.

Good news – herbs are not burned but cooked. The negative part is that herbs get heated only on the surface of a chamber and it often requires to stir the content. This leaves the content vaporized unevenly. In worst cases, you can see some spots of burning herbs, or some spots still raw, but generally, the vapor tastes better and delivers more pure experience, almost without smog. And this is a first close definition of vaporizer and vaping.

Fast heat up, better efficiency. But practically it is not as efficient as one might think so.

Conduction is one of the most used technology among portable vaporizers. Available in a wide price range, depending on other features you may want for your optimal vaporization experience.

CONVECTION

From a common use of air heating technology in desktop vaporizers, technology gets so advanced, this new method can be put into portable vaporizers.

Here comes the new generation of vaporizers. This is truly – and so far the most efficient way to vaporize. It is not that commonly used – mostly because of users ignorance that this kind of technique is used among vaporizers, and also the benefits that stand behind this heating technology.

Convection is everything and more that your herbs need.

In this case of heating technology, the heating element stands under the herb chamber. It heats up the air and the heated air travels through hundreds of small holes into a chamber through herbs. Herbs are evenly evaporated and it delivers and extraordinary tasteful and pure vapor. Herb releases its chemicals in the form of vapor, but not as hot enough to make it burn. Without burning, combustion, smoke, and other side product. The purest experience for healthier enjoyment of herbs.

Heating technology like this, was until now, more commonly used among desktop vaporizers. Due to fast-expanding technology, we can deliver to you high-end portable vaporizers with convection technology at the lowest prices possible.
